The colours of spring have delighted me incredibly this year. There have been many holy moments where I have just stood still in the open door with a reverence for the profusion of colour in the new life of the garden along with songs in abundance from the birds who gather to feed around the property. Amid all the earthy colours of the tulips a celestial colour has appeared and this lone blue poppy has been released to give a particular beauty to the morning view.
Etchings - tentative outlines from which to move as one learns to be more contemplative, to move into this pilgrimage of life and embrace the Mystery that asks us to live with unknowns and surprises.

So beautiful. Those amazing rare surprises... the ones we make room for when we aren't looking... those are the best :)
Nature seems to be absolutely superb at delivering these surprises.
I am still moved, almost to tears some days, as I step out into our garden and the quiet and tranquility. It is an oasis beyond what I could have imagined as I listen to the birds, see the colours of the vegetation and flowers. It reminds me that this earth is for us to tenderly care for in so many ways.
