Life Prayer

Gentle me,
Holy One,
into an unclenched moment,
a deep breath
a letting go
of heavy experiences,
of shrivalling anxieties,
of dead certainties,

that, softened by the silence,
surrounded by the light,
and open to the mystery,

I may be found by wholeness,
upheld by the unfathomable,
entranced by the simple
and filled with the joy
that is You.

I really appreciated reading this, just now on this particular day. I need to go from a clenched moment (or day) into an unclenched one. Ironically (or God ordained), why I came over is that I'm feeling really taken advantage of today and I was looking for some wisdom on how to come to terms with this. Perhaps letting go is the best wisdom.

These words really spoke to me too Lisa - to open up and let go of some things is not easy yet it is the only way to move away from the angst of certain things. I guess we are both in a place of letting go.

Can I join the letting go movement? I can not think of better company.

Sounds good Anj. How easy it sounds and how much work it takes to actually move into the truth of living in this place of letting go and living with an 'unclenched' posture. At least that is how I find it.
I like the idea of making this a movement we walk together!
